Take a look at the website www.vauxpedia.net this truly excellent site by David Booker is the best website for information on anything Vauxhall, from the 5hp and 6hp light car right through to the very latest model the Crossland X. There is also very interesting information on prototype car’s that never made production as well as information on the factory’s at Luton, Dunstable and Ellsmere Port and the test facility at Chaul End and Millbrook. A Truly excellent website which is updated with information on a regular basis.

The Club has just been notified of the publication of a new book,
The Cars We Didn't Save: How Britain's Everyday Cars Vanished
from the Roads by Lee Brickley.
It looks at the cars that used to be absolutely everywhere in
Britain, then quietly became incredibly rare: Cavaliers, Sierras,
Metros, Maestros, Montegos, Marinas, Allegros, 405s, Saxos,
Primeras, Rovers and plenty more. It ought to be of interest to
anyone with a soft spot for the everyday cars of the 1970s and
1980s.
The Cavalier actually opens the book and has a full chapter of its
own, looking at how one of Britain's most familiar cars went from
more than 1.2 million licensed examples in late 1994 to just 871 in
Q1 2026.
It isn't really a book about valuable classics. It's about the cars
people actually owned, drove to work in, took the kids to school in
and bought as their first cars, and how we somehow went from
seeing them every day to barely seeing them at all.
